  • The guy was from West Virginia. Have you ever been to WV? One of my favorite stories from WV was the "no guns allowed sign" in a bar. Not "guns are against the law in drinking establishments" just "don't bring them into this one." Alcohol, guns, and a low-income environment.

  • This kind of moots out some of the discussion below. He still couldn't have gotten the gun onto the plane if he hadn't gotten through the metal detectors. I personally still think Killfile's point stands, they shouldn't have charged him.

  • At Reagan the security checkpoint is about 20 feet from the metal detectors.Yeah, I remember the layout, I was just trying to clarify what "security checkpoint" actually meant. Thanks.
